30 Weeks!!

So I have finally reached 30 weeks in this pregnancy and thought it'd be a good time to pull out some old pictures and do some comparisons. This first picture is of me at 30 weeks with Addilyn.
This second picture is of me (in the same outfit) today.

This last picture is of me 8 days before Addilyn was born, looking like I'm about to burst. I didn't remember that my face and hands were so swollen. Wow, I guess that's what I have to look forward to. Yeah.

Werewolf Bar Mitzvah, Spooky, Scary

Have you seen 30 Rock yet? You should watch it. It is by far the funniest show on TV these days.

Sorry, Daddy needed to get his plug in. How are you all? I'm good. Mommy is getting a pedicure and Daddy is rotating the tires on the van so I thought I would take this opportunity to update you all on my life. Christmas was good to me. Although the opening of gifts quickly became mundane compared to playing with gifts, I got through it. Thank you to all. This first photo shows me playing with a LEGO set that I bought with money from Aunts and Uncles. Daddy had a hand in what I should get, if you can believe that. I'm wearing a dress that I bought with money from my Canadian Great-Grandparents. It's awfully nice.

G&G Johnson's church even made me an ornament. It came the other day in a box with delicious cookies I'm told are called pepparkakor. More on those later. Since our tree was taken down by the time I got the ornament I demonstrated how it would be used and what it would look like in the following picture. To clarify I'm playing the role of tree.
The magnum opus of this year was a play kitchen set that Mommy and Daddy bought for me and others helped stock. It's pretty amazing. I can boil corn and talk on the phone and I really like to microwave electronic devices. I baked a cake the other day and we all ate it. It was yummy.

I also received a drum filled with other percussion items, books, a movie, clothes, stuffed friends, a some puppy slippers which I think were covered in the last blog. I'm sure there were other things and I'm sorry if I have forgotten them right now. Thank you all.

Now on to the pepparkakor. It's a gingerbready cookie that is likely of Swedish origin. A tradition in the Johnson side. Specifically the actual Johnson side. Grandpa made this year's batch I believe. Here we are enjoying the deliciousness.

And in closing I leave you with one last video. I started doing this on my own just the other day. I'm pretty sure I've seen Daddy do something similar but while standing.

Til next time,
Addilyn Elise

My New Cousin!!!

Here's an update for those of you outside the Johnson clan: Aunt Kendall and Uncle Joel had their baby yesterday. They had a little girl at 6:59pm and named her Lily Mae (which I think is pretty cool because I can already say that!). She weighed in at 7lb 3oz and was 19 inches long. For pictures see their blog:

or Aunt Courtney's blog:

Mommy, Daddy and I won't get to see her until the end of the month but we're excited already. She looks pretty cute!!

Happy New Year (and the like)

I just thought I'd send out a quick Happy New Year (only 3 days late) to all of you. We didn't do anything too exciting to celebrate the new year. Tyler actually had to work on New Year's Eve so we just hung out around the house, watched a movie and miraculously made it to midnight. Tyler and I made a resolution last year to give up pop for the entire year of 2008. Tyler has decided to continue his pop fast until after his 3rd degree testing in June so it was only I that got to celebrate our year of fortitude and determination with a delicious Dublin Dr. Pepper at just after midnight. Tyler took this picture to commemorate the occasion.

On a completely unrelated note, here is a picture of Addilyn enjoying the uber-cute puppy slippers her G & G Johnson gave her for Christmas. She's finally figured out how to walk in them and stands taller for the feat (figuratively and literally, they make her at least an inch taller).
