Our Trip (Second Edition)

Here are a bunch of pictures from the second half of our trip.

After we got back from Chicago, we headed to Manhattan. Here is Grandpa J and Asher at one of our favorite restaurants ever, Fourth Street Cafe.

After lunch we played at the new and improved City Park playground and then headed to Java for drinks. Addilyn is helping me finish off the always delicious Mango Berry Freeze.

Tyler looking studly in Aggieville.

We also wandered through the KSU campus.

After a very late night in Manhattan, we headed on to Kearney, NE to visit my parents. Here Addilyn and Belle are bonding.

Addilyn & Tyler took a walk around the block with Grandpa B & Belle. (Courtney, can you hear her screaming as she runs?)

"Sky!"

Addilyn picked her first strawberry from Grandma B's strawberry patch.

We stopped by my grandparents' house on our way back to El Dorado. Here is Asher's first visit with his Great Grandpa Bert.

Tyler washed the van on Saturday morning. Addilyn helped.

Asher and Courtney watched for a while.

Addilyn took a break to ride the neighbor's John Deere push tractor.

Snack time.

Nap time.

Bath time.

Aunt Courtney did a lesson in hair styling for Erin.

Itinerary

We leave for Kansas (and Illinois and Nebraska) in a couple of hours and I thought I'd clue you all in to where we'll be and when. We are heading to El Dorado tonight and should get there sometime between 1 and 3am. We'll stay there and hang out with Tyler's family until Monday morning with a jaunt up to Topeka for Tyler's Tae Kwon Do testing on Friday evening and all Saturday. Addilyn will stay with Tyler's parents (and Aunt Courtney) and the rest of us will head to Kansas City and then fly out to Chicago. We'll run around Chicago for a couple of days and then return to Kansas City on Wednesday morning. Tyler, Asher and I will meet up with Addilyn in Manhattan and enjoy that area for the day. The four of us will then head on to my parents' late that evening. We'll hang out with my parents in Kearney, NE all Thursday and then leave to see my grandparents on Friday morning. After stopping in Mankato, KS, we'll head back to El Dorado before heading all the way back to Texas on early Sunday morning. Out of breath? So am I.

So these pictures have nothing to do with what I want to post about but they're cute and I wanted to put them on.

2 Months

Asher was 2 months old yesterday. He had his 2-month appointment this morning. He weighed in at 14 pounds, 10 ounces and is 24 inches long. That means he's gained just shy of 4 pounds in the last 2 months. He's doing good all the way around. He did really good throughout the entire appointment. He was even smiling at the doctor while she checked him out. And then came the immunizations. I was expecting him to get really mad about the shots but the oral rotavirus vaccine was actually probably the worst of it all. He screamed about that... a lot. Now he's sleeping peacefully.

Happy 2-Month Asher!!!
