Kids

I could have lumped this together with the other post but what fun would that have been. Here are some pictures of Addilyn and Asher taken over the last week and a half.

We went to explore Millenium Park in downtown Chicago yesterday afternoon. She had quite a bit of fun playing in the Crown fountain and generally riding around in her stroller as we walked through the park and downtown. There is always something interesting to see and it's fun to see it through a 2-year-old's eyes. Unfortunately the batteries in our camera died so we left with only this picture taken on Tyler's phone. She is playing with her reflection on the bean (the Cloud Gate sculpture).

Here Addilyn is admiring herself in the tiara she got in her travel package from a couple in our Houston church.

She got a little thrown off her schedule during the move. I was unpacking the kitchen and came out to find her asleep in the hallway.

Here's a close-up view. She was out.

Asher had a major skin flare up when we got here but finally seems to be recovering from that. He's been as happy as usual.

Now if we could just convince them both to sleep until 8 in the morning, we'd be set.

Moving and Settling

We're almost completely unpacked. We still have to hang all the wall stuff in the kids' room and find something to do with that one weird box of randomness in our bedroom. Here are some pictures of our progress so you can enjoy the chaos of moving.

Quick Update

Good morning,

We don't have Internet at the house yet, I'm not sure we're even going to get it, so I'm blogging from the library. Yesterday was my first day of classes. It was interesting and I remember now how much I enjoy school. Weird huh? Anyway we're getting settled into our apartment and learning the area. Addilyn very much likes running around the campus chasing squirrels and bunnies, Asher is just cool no matter what, and Erin is missing baking cookies.

For your information below is my class schedule.

Until then, Take Luck.

Preparations and Asher

Asher likes to play with Daddy.

We went to Rocket Park. Asher slept through most of it.

Addilyn did not. She enjoyed running around with Daddy ... although every time she saw a picture of an astronaut she would say, "TaeKwonDo." We think it had to do with the white suits. Maybe.

Asher playing in some pretty lighting.

He found his feet.

Pretty spider web in the sunlight.

Why wouldn't you measure Daddy's back while he's packing?

We're packing. Lots of mess. We'll keep you updated how it is going.

Now I really must help pack.

Putt-Putt with Nate and Aubyn

The other day we went putt-putting with our friends Nate and Aubyn. We had to travel to Galveston since there are no good courses this far inland. This was our second trip to this place and they have two courses. This time we played the front 18; the pirate course. For those of you who may be in Galveston and wanting to play some putt-putt in the near future, we recommend the back course: the castle.

Addilyn got her own putter and ball.

She had so much fun.

Asher just chilled.

Look, the outhouse.

Meet Nate and Aubyn

Addilyn started getting the hang of things by the end.

I (Tyler) am consistently the worst putt-putter.

Nate and Aubyn consistently school us, but we enjoy the beatdown.
