For one of our activities we made Cinnamon Spice Playdough.

It came together really quickly and smells amazing, mostly of cinnamon but there's other things in there like nutmeg and cloves.

I also have been boiling this mix. It smells like Christmas. I've been using it for at least a week now and while it has gotten pretty brown, it still smells awesome!
Another day we decorated the kids' bedroom. We had to make sure that while festive, all decorations would be
inaccessible for the kids to mess with. The boys especially enjoy
messing with things during nap and if they could reach it, it would be
utterly destroyed within a few days.
Luckily, in our intense optimism that we would ever live in someplace other than an apartment, we purchased some net lights on an after-Christmas clearance sale a few years ago (it may have even been in Houston) and have since never used them. They work really well at adding that lovely glow to their room. Festivity!
